Bible Reading Plan

This app provides a comprehensive list of daily readings to aid in completing the entire Bible annually.

The readings are conveniently presented in a checklist format to facilitate progress tracking. Users can swipe each day left to mark it as read or right to mark it as unread. The app allows users to use their own Bible alongside the checklist or alternatively press and hold to view the day's reading directly within the app.

Organized into seven sections, each corresponding to a day of the week, this "topical" reading plan breaks down the Bible as follows:

• Monday: Law (Genesis - Deuteronomy)
• Tuesday: History (Joshua - Esther)
• Wednesday: Psalms
• Thursday: Poetry (Job, Proverbs - Song of Solomon)
• Friday: Prophecy (Isaiah - Malachi)
• Saturday: Gospels (Matthew - Acts)
• Sunday: Letters (Romans - Revelation)

This systematic approach provides users with a varied reading experience, ensuring both content and length diversity throughout the week. By following this schedule, readers can cover the entire Bible over the course of a year, while maintaining engagement through alternating content types.

Careful consideration has been given to the organization of daily readings, with an emphasis on consistency and flow. Each day's reading is designed to be of similar length within its respective section, offering a balanced approach throughout the year. Exceptions are minimal, with no chapters split across multiple days (except for Psalm 119), and related chapters logically grouped together when possible.

For enhanced readability and engagement, sections with denser content like genealogies are consolidated into longer readings, while more lyrical or narrative passages such as Psalms or patriarchs' stories are separated for focused attention.
